Agnico Eagle Mines Upper Beaver Project invites dedicated and passionate individuals to put their name forward as the Advisory Committee creation initiative moves forward.

The Upper Beaver Project is located approximately 5km northeast of Dobie, Ontario, in the Gauthier and McVittie townships.

JOIN OUR ADVISORY COMMITTEE: YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Agnico Eagle would like to invite you to become involved in creating an Advisory Committee for the Upper Beaver Project, designed to foster open dialogue and share information as the project evolves. This committee will provide a platform for diverse voices from the community to come together and discuss both community needs and the project’s development.

We are looking for people who:
•    Live in the communities surrounding the project
•    Are interested in both the community’s needs and the project’s development
•    Can attend in-person meetings 3 to 4 times a year

Our goal is to ensure the committee is representative of local and indigenous communities, incorporating a variety of demographics and viewpoints. We hope to include voices from local citizens, environmental groups, community organizations, employment and training programs, and local Indigenous Nations, alongside representatives from Agnico Eagle.

UPCOMING ADVISORY COMMITTEE INAUGURAL MEETING

We are excited to share that the inaugural meeting to create the public seats of the Advisory Committee is expected to take place in early 2025. This meeting will serve to establish the committee, where individuals will be invited to put their names forward, specifying which area they wish to represent. The participants at this meeting will then be invited to select the committee members. Stay tuned for the formal invitation that will be distributed soon!
