Time Limit Extension Approval

Dear Community Members,

The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) has approved Agnico Eagle’s request for an extension to submit the information and studies required under the notice of commencement for the Upper Beaver Gold Project impact assessment.

IAAC has granted a 15-month extension, setting the new deadline for Agnico Eagle to provide the required materials as March 27, 2027.

According to IAAC’s extension letter, the decision was based on the following:
• Agnico Eagle paused information gathering to confirm whether the project remained as described in the Detailed Project Description following its 2023 acquisition of additional business assets.
• The company has demonstrated progress and provided a realistic work plan to complete the required studies.
