Finally, a new and improved boat launch will also be built at the end of this alternate access road. As suggested by community members at the November 2023 workshop, Agnico Eagle also plans to include a more efficient parking lot at the new boat launch site to better accommodate users. Other feedback and recommendations received are currently being considered and evaluated.

The goal is to have this alternate access ready for community use by fall 2025.

NEXT STEPS

Agnico Eagle will continue to provide updates as the work progresses through various communication channels.

While some elements of the alternate access project are dictated by technical needs, others can be adapted to address community concerns.
