Upper Beaver Gold Project Impact Statement Update
Dear Interested Parties,
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and meaningful engagement, Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (Agnico Eagle) is pleased to share the first of two submissions related to the Upper Beaver Gold Project Impact Statement. We recognize there is significant interest in understanding the Project and the studies completed to date. By releasing these materials in advance of the formal Impact Statement submission, we hope to provide communities, Indigenous Nations, regulators, stakeholders, and interested members of the public with an opportunity to review key technical information and gain a better understanding of the Project and the federal impact assessment process.
Upper Beaver Gold Project – Impact Statement Submission 1
Agnico Eagle has provided this initial submission of 9 sections and 10 appendices of the Impact Statement containing the primary technical aspects of the Upper Beaver Gold Project in discussion with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada to support ongoing regulatory engagement and review. The complete Impact Statement will follow in late 2026 and is being prepared in accordance with the Tailored Impact Statement Guidelines.
The materials included in the first Impact Statement submission are now available on the Upper Beaver Project website here: Documents Downloads – Upper Beaver Project – Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd.
Purpose of the Submission
The Impact Statement is a comprehensive technical document that will support the federal impact assessment process. Given the size and complexity of the document, we recognize the value of sharing information in advance to help communities, Indigenous Nations, regulators, and stakeholders better understand the Project, the assessment process, and the studies completed to date.
The information being shared relates to the proposed production phase of the Upper Beaver Gold Project and reflects work completed to date in support of the Impact Statement currently being prepared.
It is important to note that this submission:
• Is not a formal submission of the Impact Statement to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada;
• Does not have an official review and/or comment period; and
• Does not replace future opportunities for public and Indigenous participation as part of the federal impact assessment process.
Rather, this information is being provided proactively as a means of keeping interested parties informed and supporting a greater understanding of the Project before the Impact Statement is formally submitted.
